How will I know if I am grounded or ungrounded?

Grounding or Earthing is all about the awareness that we are still in a physical body as well as endeavouring to become spiritual workers and beings.

Here you will find a list of ways in which being grounded helps us in our lives:

  • Brings life in to matter and to be able to bring our healing abilities into the physical.


  • Increases balance and stability in our physical and  emotional state.

  • Helps us to accept that we are here to fulfil a purpose

  • Brings strength

  • Helps in creating a bridge between Spirit and matter.

  • Provides an outlet making the release of energy easier.

  • Allows us to attain higher Spiritual levels.

Here is a list of some of the more common symptoms of being ungrounded. Usually each person tends to suffer  the same symptoms each time they are ungrounded. These could just be one or two symptoms, or even more.

  • Dizziness

  • Daydreaming

  • Feeling  'Spaced Out'

  • Feeling Sick

  • Heart Palpitations

  • Eyes Flickering

  • Weight gain

  • Clumsiness

  • Static shocks

  • Falling asleep when you are meditating

  • Sensitive to Noise and light

  • Forgetfulness

  • Having brilliant ideas that never happen

  • Arguing and unable to get your point across

** Please note that many of these symptoms can also be linked to physical conditions or illnesses, if in doubt always check with your GP. Light and energy work is complementary to general medicine and should not be viewed as a substitute

Tree Root Grounding

When working with energy of any kind, doing visualisation meditations or taking part in Open/Closed Circles it is VERY important to ground yourself beforehand. One of the easiest ways of doing this is here:

Imagine that your feet and toes are growing roots and these roots are growing down into the floor/ground beneath you. The roots grow very, very long and go down into the earth's core. As you visualise the earth's core notice the thick roots of trees which have been there for thousands of years and visualise your own roots twisting around them, entangling themselves among these very old roots and therefore 'grounding' you.

Also, do not forget to drink plenty of water after your meditation, Circle or healing session.

Please always have a glass of water with you before you
do a meditation, this is to ground yourself and replenish
after the meditation.




Surround yourself with dancing candlelight and the colours of the rainbow
 as we begin this magical journey.

Relax and begin slow rhythmic breathing. Inhale through your nose...inhaling everything that is positive. Exhale through your mouth and release all of the negativity and tension in your body. Begin to allow your body to relax.

Inhale, imagining every sparkling colour of the rainbow. Exhale, releasing your tension from the day. Relaxing every portion of your body. Focus on the sound and feel of your breathing as you completely and totally relax.

Listen carefully to the sound of your breathing as other sounds begin to
fade and sound distant. Let your tensions begin to melt and release,
 flowing down through your body. As you release the tension it turns to
 liquid and you feel it drain down through your legs and out the bottoms of your feet. As you completely and totally relax.

Imagine a white crystalline light of energy, spinning above your head.
 Begin to pull this white light into the top of your head, drawing it down
until your entire body is full of bright, white, crystalline light. Begin to
push the white light to the outside of your body until you are surrounded
with light, just like a protective cocoon.

Visualise yourself standing at a large golden door. As you open the door
you step into a hallway and at the end of the hallway you see the bright white light. You are drawn to it. Begin walking towards the white light.

As you reach the white light you step through onto a rolling meadow of green. The sun is shining brightly and the sky is a wonderful blue filled
 with white fluffy clouds reminiscent of candyfloss.

You feel a warm breeze brush your face and you hear the songs of
the birds about you. All is peaceful and safe. Ahead of you is a dense
forest of green. Knowing you are alone but completely safe you walk
 to the forest and enter.

Between the trees the sunlight shines through, dancing along the path, making patterns of light all about. Deeper into the forest the flowers
begin to appear everywhere. Rich beautiful colours and their fragrance
fills the air.

You continue, deeper yet into the forest and you come to a clearing.
You hear a gentle rush of water from a stream near by. You Walk to
the stream and find that the water is clear and warm. Gather from the stream 3 magical stones. Hold them and feel their power and energy.
Ask the stones to take you to a very special place that only they know of.


As you turn you see a large majestic old oak tree. Place your stones at the base of the tree and take three deep breaths.

As you glance at the forest, sparkling orbs of rainbow colours begin to appear around you. Dancing in and out of the trees. Songs of the forest begin to emerge from within and you find yourself in the heart of a circle
 of angels...in the heart of their perfect love.

You feel their love touch you as they dance serenely around you and the song and desire of your heart becomes clear...the desire for perfect love.

As you face the Oak tree the angels spread their wings, and you feel a blanket of protection envelop you as you see an entrance to the tree opening up before you.

As you enter your feet meet a path of soft green moss. The angels
 begin to come closer to you, revealing their beauty, their love and
their wisdom as they dance all around you inviting you to dance
 along with them.

You dance further along the path and you hear the rushing of a
waterfall. In front of you is a clear stream, the waterfall and a glistening
wall of crystal behind the falls.

As you stand before the waterfall a colourful rainbow appears and you
 kneel with the angels. Then from the crystal wall behind the waterfall
 you see the Divine Arch Angels appear, one by one they emerge in
their translucent colours and their glory.

You feel their power, and their grace. You are filled with their perfect
love, healing and strength. You feel them touch your soul and your heart filling you with their magic and their love.

The angel in the centre comes closer and speaks to you. She tells you
 that she has a surprise for you. A rainbow mist behind her begins to
clear and you see a figure approaching...this is your guide. You greet
each other with love and he/she takes your hand and you begin to walk together through another rainbow mist...as you emerge you a beautiful amethyst seat made for two. You sit down with your guide and you get
 to know him/her. Ask your guide his/her name...he/she is your friend...your comforter...your teacher...he/she is part of you and always has been.,.and always will be.

You can trust your guide with anything and you can talk to him/her
whenever you so wish but it is now time to say goodbye to your guide for
the moment, so bid him/her farewell for now and rise up from the
amethyst seat. Walk towards the rainbow mist and as you come out
the other side of the mist you find yourself back in the here and now
and where you started off before you began the meditation.

Now please drink some of your water to ground yourself.
