There are many crystals which you an use to make elixirs with but you do have to be careful as some crystals are HIGHLY TOXIC. Some contain lead and mercury and I'm sure you all know just how toxic they can be. So you MUST be sure the crystal you are using is not one of the toxic ones if you are going to use the water method in making your elixir. For toxic crystals there is a non-water method which you can use.

The quartz family of crystals are sufficiently hard and non-toxic and has such a huge variety you are bound to find one for your purpose amongst the quartz crystals.

You can make an elixir for ailments and you can either drink it or even apply it to your skin. It is normally made with spring, distilled or filtered water. If you want the elixir to last more than a week then some brandy or other alcohol added to the water acts as a preservative.

Crystal elixirs are particularly good for controlling asthma, especially exercise-induced asthma, which I myself have, but unfortunately I have so many allergies that I have to be extra careful about what I eat, drink or use so I have not used any elixirs myself. If it were not for my allergies I most certainly would use them as I know they are highly effective.

As you probably know, when working out, whether in a gym or at home, it is vital to drink lots of water during this time and by adding a few drops of an elixir to your water which has been made with crystals for healing asthma AND for energy, this not only gives you more strength and stamina during the work out, but helps to ward off asthma which is brought on by your exercise.
 

Whatever type of complimentary therapy you decide to try, whether it be herbs, homeopathy, crystal healing etc., etc., you MUST NEVER stop your regular medication if you take meds from your GP on a daily basis to control an ailment like asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems...your complimentary therapy is just that... COMPLIMENTARY to your regular GP's prescription. Medicine and healing are two different things. Healing is used with medicine.

If a complimentary therapist tells you to stop your regular medication then they are not fully qualified in their job. My niece went to a homeopath for her asthma and was told to stop taking her regular meds and just take the remedies giving to her. She didn't stop to think that the homeopath was wrong, she trusted him...stopped taking her regular meds and ended up in hospital in intensive care and we nearly lost her. It was touch and go for a few days.

Please remember that, just as some people are not able to take regular medication given by their GP due to allergies etc, the same can apply to crystals. But, obviously, you don't know what you may have a reaction to until you try it. If you make an elixir and find you get symptoms which you've not had before and cannot pinpoint the cause, give the elixirs a rest, then retry them. If you find your symptoms stop when you stop using the elixir and return when you start using it again STOP it immediately. What works for one person may not work for another. It's trial and error as with most general medications.
 

1. Place a clean crystal in the bottom of an undecorated, plain glass bowl. Add spring, distilled or filtered water until it just covers the crystal.


2. Place the bowl in full sunlight, a window sill or even outside, for at least 2 hours.

3. Afterwards carefully pour the water into a storage bottle that contains at least 50% brandy or vodka to act as a preservative. If a dropper bottle is used (which is the best kind to use) drops can be taken as necessary. This is known as the 'Mother Essence'.

4. Put between 3 and 7 drops of a mother essence into a clean dropper bottle containing 50% water 50% brandy.

This is called the "Stock Bottle".

5. If several essences are being combined, you can make one further dilution of a few drops from the Stock Bottle with 50/50 water and brandy.

This is called a 'Dosage Bottle'.

If necessary, alcohol can be replaced by cider vinegar as a preservative if alcohol is not desirable. (Go with the alcohol! lol lol)

Agate:

This crystal is a brilliant grounding crystal bringing about emotional, physical and intellectual balance. They help in centring and stabilising physical energy. It has the power to harmonise Yin and Yang, the positive and negative forces that hold the universe together. Psychologically, Agate helps to build self-confidence. Emotionally it overcomes negativity and bitterness of the heart.
 

Amethyst:

For those who strongly resist any interference with their freedom to make their own decisions and plans. Raises vibration to more spiritual level.

Ametrine:

This crystal combines Amethyst and Citrine. It is useful for long-standing dis-ease. The crystal facilitates and protects during Astral Travel and is brilliant for relieving Psychic Attack. It clears stress and tension from the head, calms the mind and brings greater focus when you meditate. It is also a very good "third eye opener", blood cleanser and brings insight into underlying causes of emotional stress.

Apricot Aventurine:

Treats disorders of the lungs and adrenal glands.

Carnelian:

Gives you appetite for success...restores vitality and motivation and stimulates creativity. Carnelian is useful for overcoming abuse of any kind. It helps you to trust yourself and your perceptions. It is a powerful protector against envy, rage and resentment, yours or other people's. It also increases our Etheric body's ability to reach spiritual energy; clears and energises between our Etheric body and our meridians so that a larger flow or energy reaches our meridians.

Citrine:

This crystal is a powerful cleanser and regenerator. It carries the power of the sun and is a very beneficial crystal. It is warming energising and highly creative. It acts as an early warning system so that action can be taken to protect yourself. It is excellent for chakra cleansing (both the Solar Plexus and the Sacral Chakras)...it activates the Crown Chakra and opens the intuition.

This crystal stimulates the digestion, helps eye, kidney and bladder problems and is brilliant for hot flushes in women going through the menopause.[/size

Fluorite:

Helps the body absorb nutrients as well as helps to heal teeth, cell and bone problems. It also repairs DNA. In an elixir form it is especially powerful against viruses.

Labadorite:

This is a very iridescent crystal and is highly mystical and protective...a bringer of light. It raises consciousness, deflects unwanted energies from the Aura and prevents energy leakage. It also balances hormones, treats colds, rheumatism and helps to lower blood pressure.

Sodalite:

Aids focus and concentration and opens the Third Eye. It balances the metabolism and overcomes calcium deficiencies so is ideal for women in protecting against brittle bones in later life. This crystal in particularly good in dealing with throat infections, hoarseness and digestive disorders.
 

Rose Quartz:
